The National Cycle Network provides huge benefits to health and wellbeing, with 4.4 million people using the network between 2017 and 2018. 786 million walking and cycling trips were made on the Network. As a result, £88 million was saved through reduced road congestion.
Route 2 of the National Cycle Network runs directly from Gosport through Warsash and into Southampton, providing a long distance bike route along the south coast.

As outlined in the Travel Plan, we are keen to encourage cycling to residents. If there is enough interest, we propose to organise a Bicycle User Group whereby residents can plan bike rides and meet ups with one another.
